WIRELESS ON T-MOBILE BELOW RETAIL:
Use your own T-Mobile Phone but get your monthly service for less.  You can keep your old number or get a new one, as well as a new phone, too. Customer service and coverage can be different than what you experienced with T-Mobile. Bargain carriers are listed first.
  • RED POCKET MOBILE
    Red Pocket sells various low-priced plans and some of them use your choice of networks, so don't forget to choose the "GSMT" service.  Plan price range: $10-$60.

  • GOSMART MOBILE
    GoSmart was formerly part of T-Mobile itself but now is operated by America Movil.  The main advantage of GoSmart Mobile is free roaming in 15 Latin American countries including Mexico. Broadband access is limited to 3G downloads but allows 4G-LTE access to Facebook and Messenger. Plan price range: $15-$55.

  • SIMPLE MOBILE
    Simple Mobile is a good way to access the T-Mobile network with prices for plans with lots of data starting at $20. However, like other America Movil plans, tax is added to the total.  Plan price range: $20-$60.

  • T-MOBILE PREPAID
    T-Mobile allows you switch to their own prepaid but you won't save as much money as the above choices, however you may be able to better match the plan to your usage.  They do offer a very basic plan for only $3 per month.
